CUPE Local 737 representing support staff for the Brandon School Division has ratified a new collective agreement on June 11/2015with the membership voting 93 per cent in support of the new agreement.
The contract ended in June 30 2014, and in addition to regular bargaining meetings, an additional meeting took place through a conciliation officer on May20/21,2015
Support staff will see a 9 percent pay increase over four years with increases in boot allowances and bus drivers field trips, as well as new wording for health and safety committees and labour management meetings and a personal day
“We are happy that we have come to an agreement that is reasonable for our members.
“We are proud of the hard work our members do every day for the community, and achieving a fair agreement means we can continue to provide the best service possible.”
